Company & Role:

Empower Management is partnering with a successful civil contractor operating across QLD with a working history dating back to the early 60’s. Our client is responsible for developing and delivering key transport infrastructure projects and due to its continued growth they are now currently seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer who has a proven track record in delivering main road projects ranging from $20m - $60m. You will have a proven background in TMR specifications projects with exposure to earthworks, pavements and structures, drainage & services. This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your experience and develop your career with a prominent contractor committed to growth within the region. This is a DIDO or FIFO role with local accommodation provided by the employer. This role suits a young ambitious project engineer who wants to develop their career and be exposed to larger infrastructure projects and be groomed for PM status.

Responsibilities for this role:

• Reporting to the Project Manager
• Project planning
• Must have worked on Roads and Highway projects
• Managing & checking contractors work
• Forecasting, cost control, QA
• Construction resource planning and management
• Monitor construction to ensure regulatory compliance

To be considered for this role you must be able to show the following:

• Degree in civil engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification
• Min 5+ years projects experience
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Experience working on projects valued at $5-20m +
• Ability to multitask & manage sites
• Must have strong commercial / financial acumen
