The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated person to join our group and support the business. As an Assistant Technical Officer you will work as part of our digital engineering team to assist with delivery of civil engineering design projects. This role is a developmental one where you will grow your skills-base and acquire a more specialised understanding of drafting and design concepts and processes using AutoCAD and 3D modelling.
About You
- Ability to work as part of a highly motivated team;
- Positive attitude and good communication skills;
- Strong problem solving skills;
- Interest in gaining civil design knowledge through on the job experience;
- Producing civil designs and associated engineering drawings;
- Develop excellent drawing and checking skills;
- Liaison with designers and project team engineers to ensure timely delivery of project outputs;
- Work with lead designer to assist with aligning design standards and processes with the rest of the transport business line;
- Maintain good pass levels in external studies
Knowledge
- Basic proficiency in using AutoCAD preferred but not essential
- Sound skills to use all Microsoft Office packages
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrolled in Engineering, Surveying or Building Design.
- High achievement levels in Maths and Science subjects;
