Our Client is a well-established, leading Mechanical Services & Installation provider specialising mainly in Hydraulic repairs to heavy and commercial equipment across a wide-range of industry sectors.
Due to business growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Hydraulics Service technician with their main responsibility focused on servicing their Bunbury based & clients (mining and earth moving) with installations and repairs. This position requires you to use your hands on practical experience and skills in mechanical/hydraulic repairs, combined with a strong customer focus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Conduct on-site inspections, repairs, installations and testing on Hydraulic components and associated equipment
- Over look and supervise a small team of technicians in the workshop
- Diagnosis and product analysis reporting
- Hydraulic system servicing
- Hydraulic system fault finding, trouble shooting and testing
- Lubrication system service and maintenance
- Writing technical reports, outlining defects and offering the best technical solutions
- Regular customer contact and client relationships management
- Providing technical advice/support to clients along with a high level of consultation
- Part requisition and purchasing as required
- Maintain accurate work records
- Maintain clean work space area whilst on clients site and be highly OSH focused
- General reporting, attending workshop meetings and some administrative duties
KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- 5 ++years' experience in a workshop Mechanical/Hydraulics/ Service Technician role
- Must hold a Mechanical Trade Certificate or Tertiary Qualification in relevant discipline
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience supervising other technicians work in a workshop environment
- Customer focused with strong communication and time management skills
- Work well under pressure delivering outstanding solutions to clients
- Previous experience with technical report writing and analysis
- Good attention to detail
- Computer literate
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Must be able to pass a National Police Clearance and Drug & Alcohol Test
