Our client is a subsidiary of one of the most successful businesses in the world. They are an international world-leading producer of specialised machinery, software and products to service the building industry. Manufacturing from premises in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, they have been in operation in Australia for over 50 years and are a stable yet growing, profitable business. We are currently seeking a Production Engineer to join their team.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this position will be responsible for a range of process improvement and plant maintenance projects. An independent and self-motivated individual, your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating / managing equipment upgrades and process improvement projects, including process automation.
• Equipment/machinery design utilising Solidworks.
• Utilising PLC and Servo Control Systems, ideally Allen-Bradley and Rockwell products
• Plaint maintenance and fault analysis activities.
• Regulatory compliance and OHS related activities.
• Advising on production techniques, materials handling and Occupational Health and Safety issues.

Ideally you will have a Mechatronics/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering background with experience working on automation projects within a manufacturing environment.

You will be a detail orientated, process driven individual who is calm under pressure and able to work autonomously to set timelines.
