Due to signing a new contract for a Capital project and expansion of our Melbourne team we are seeking a graduate PLC Engineer. If you are to join us, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the design, development, testing and commissioning of the new tunnel’s control system;
- Project requirements review and analysis;
- Interfacing across range of disciplines, external information and documents;
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering;
- Ability to develop in C++ or similar languages;
- Knowledge and understanding of versioning control tools;
- Experience with one or more major PLC & SCADA vendor systems such as Schneider, Allen Bradley, Siemens or similar;
- Any experience in developing SCADA and/or Distributed Control System (DCS) applications highly regarded;
- Understanding industrial communication protocol principles;
- Sound understanding of electrical and mechanical diagrams;
- Ability to use electrical CAD tools is an advantage.
Soft skills required:
- Ability to engage with a range of stakeholders – technical and non-technical;
- Comply with quality standards;
- Ability to work both individually and within a team environment;
- Strong troubleshooting of complex technical systems, analytical and problem solving skills;
- Excellent English language communication skills both written and verbal;
- Knowledge of Spanish language is an advantage.
Note: Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or VISA (Working full time without restrictions).
