The Control Systems Test Engineer is accountable for the verification and validation of internally developed software products to support the delivery and operation of the ATRICS control systems against specified requirements.
This position will also be responsible for technical documentation/specifications for the verification, validation and type approval of key software products.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide specialist technical expertise in the quality verification and validation of technology software and systems infrastructure.
- Work on project specifications to meet delivery of projects within schedule.
- Work with Team to ensure project scope, budget, time constraints, success indicators, quality, environmental and safety standards.
- Resolve problems related to technical specifications, safety, quality, environmental and resourcing.
- Utilise resources so that information is accessible about technological, industry and market changes and developments.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical or Control Systems or SCADA systems engineering or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of test methodologies
- Experience in embedded, safety related, high availability, event driven systems.
- Basic understanding of Railway Signalling and Train Operations
- Risk assessment in the implementation, construction, testing and commissioning of Control Systems.
- Desirable - data communication / multi user domain secure computers configuration, high available networks utilising Cisco products, BGP, OSPF and RIP routing protocols, building LANs, utilising 802.1d and 802.1w spanning tree protocols, building security infrastructure, utilising DMZ’s.
- Sound Knowledge in Microsoft Office and Microsoft operation systems.
