This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Beveridge Williams is an industry leader in the provision of water resource engineering services, by helping support and grow a successful water resources team and delivering results that will exceed client and stakeholder expectations of quality, timeframe and cost.

The role will require developing junior staff skills, review technical work, perform business development tasks, and be able to lead water resources projects.

You will be required to have a Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or equivalent industry experience with a minimum of eight years’ experience working in water resources fields such as surface water, catchment management, groundwater, preferably within the land development industry.  You should have specialist skills and knowledge in Hydraulics, Hydrology and Water Sensitive Urban Design.

Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Scope projects and develop fee proposals
• Financial management of project budgets
• Identify and track variations, and assist in preparation of invoices
• Ensure compliance with the QA system including checklists, procedures and document control requirements
• Mentoring staff
• Contribute to the review of the level of competence in water resources engineering and identify where additional training may be required for the group or individuals
• Develop a focus on service delivery and client responsiveness
• Liaison with service authorities to determine requirements and resolve project related issues
• Prepare estimates, works programs and strategic engineering reports as required
• Serve as a representative at meetings, presentations, and public hearings/reviews relative to assigned projects
• Identify and manage risks and deliverables
• Oversee that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished
• Review project deliverables for quality and effectiveness as required
