ABOUT THE COMPANY.
This Local Council currently has an opportunity for a Traffic Engineer to join their mid-sized team. You will be working within a Local Council located in Sydney's Inner West on an initial 12 month contract.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Traffic Engineer, you will partake in the development of strategic initiatives to the planning and operations of the team. You will work alongside a team of 4 and have the opportunity to assist in training juniors. In this role, you will revise and coordinate traffic management plans. You will also assess DAs, investigate traffic/transport matters, and will report on these accordingly.
DUTIES.
- Undertake various traffic studies
- Oversee and assist in DA's
- Investigate traffic/parking surveys
- Prepare community communication
- Degree qualifications in Civil/Traffic Engineering is beneficial
- Strong public sector experience is advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in communication (written/verbal)
