The Role

Our Structures, Building Services and Security team has a strong core team of highly experienced industry professionals who take a long term approach to client management.

Due to a strong pipeline of projects, our Brisbane team is expanding and we are seeking an intermediate experienced Hydraulic Services & Fire Suppression Designer to join our multidisciplinary team. The position requires a competency in hydraulic services and fire suppression (including fire sprinklers) design.

Could this be you?

As a specialist in our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for:-

• Detailed design services for all hydraulic/plumbing services (hot and cold water, sanitary drainage systems, gas services, and rainwater systems)
• Detailed design services for all fire suppression services (hydrants, hose reels, extinguishers and sprinklers)
• Self-motivated and self-managed
• Client liaison  

• Knowledge and competency in the design and documentation of hydraulic services
• Knowledge and competency in the design and documentation of fire suppression services
• Experience with authority submissions and construction phase services
• Demonstrated understanding of the AS/NZS 3500 suite of standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AS 2419.1, AS 2441 and AS 2118.1
• Ability to structure and write professional technical reports
• Experience with writing winning proposals, work up fee estimates and deliver work within budgets will be an advantage
• Manage client expectations and deliver projects to budget and programme
• Flexible to travel for short term project assignments is advantageous

• Trade or tertiary qualified professional. Preference will be given to an industry recognised degree or diploma level hydraulic or fire services design qualifications
• Current QBCC or RPEQ registration an advantage
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in Hydraulic and Fire suppression services design
