Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Australia and New Zealand Energy Sector Lead, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager within the Energy Sector to begin a rewarding career with Mott MacDonald in Australia.

Key duties will include:

•Leading and participating in the winning of work and writing proposals.
•Ensuring projects are delivered to programme, budget and to the highest standards through the delivery of quality engineering services.
•Using global network systems to build relationships and work effectively in teams.
•Quality and Risk Management.

Specific responsibilities include:

•Together with the Energy Sector Leader ANZ and Account Leaders, drive the MM energy sector plan for growth in delivering projects in renewables sector including wind, solar, hydropower and other energy projects requiring Project Manager’s, Owner’s Engineer aligned skill sets.
•Establish and maintain working relationships with key clients for renewable projects requiring input around PM, construction and operations input or support.
•Lead delivery of work won by providing PM, OE site based skills.
•Assist the growing energy team (Melbourne and Sydney) to identify and recruit new staff to perform local content of work and facilitate any work undertaken via other Mott MacDonald offices.
•Build the Mott MacDonald brand in ANZ by growing your own personal network via targeted presentations at conferences client functions, industry forums and preparation and presentation of thought papers.
•Provide assistance to the Key Account Leader APNA - Hydro on proposals, projects in the APNA and global market.

We are looking for a self-starting, natural leader who is keen to progress their career with us. To be considered for the position you will possess the following:

•Experienced Project Manager within the Energy sector
•Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or similar.
•Sound technical knowledge with proven project experience
•Strong team leadership skills and the ability to work autonomously.
•Exceptional client engagement skills.
