As a Civil Designer, you will be a valued member of the team, and will work closely alongside the Civil Engineer to design and coordinate civil projects.

Essential Capabilities and Experience

• Highly proficient with 12D or Civil 3D software including AutoCAD
• 5 + years experience in civil design of roads and civil infrastructure projects
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision on a diverse range of design projects
• Preparing design base and solutions for civil engineering works such as land development projects, roads, drainage etc.
• In depth knowledge of Austroads, Australian Standards and RMS specifications
• Assist the Civil Engineer to ensure all projects are delivered on time
• Liaise with Engineers, Designers, Drafters and other stakeholders
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to produce engineering plans
• Tertiary qualifications - completed or currently undertaking
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

Job task and responsibilities

• Undertaking detailed engineering design
• Plan and manage CAD documentation of design work
• Under guidance of senior staff, represent the company at meetings with the client, other professionals an suppliers
• Work closely with Technical staff to ensure project works is carried out with agreed deadlines and within budget
• Ensure senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved
• Coordinate work with other members of the project team
• Continually ensuring that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the clients and the companies best interest and that our policy is in keeping with current legislation, Australian Standards and Codes of Practices etc
