ABOUT THE ROLE
RCR Tomlinson is at the forefront of the growing Melbourne Transport Network, securing major projects within the Rail sector.
As a result of our consistent growth on these projects, RCR are now looking for experienced Site Engineers to work with the project team on the coordination and delivery of these projects.
DUTIES
- Oversee construction tasks which will include elements of rail, signalling, electrical and power
- Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the Project Engineer or Project Manager
- Interpret designs for construction projects using works packages
- Supervise designated direct labour and sub-contractors. Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards
- Observe & implement safe systems of work relevant to your work area and report potential hazards
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Proven Engineering experience on relevant infrastructure works, preferably on rail projects
- Knowledge of the standards and procedures for design, construction, testing and commissioning for major rail infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, operations, services and activities of rail engineering programs
- Principles and practices of construction management, risk management and project scheduling.
