Well respected consultancy needs a Functional Safety Engineer to join their Risk team for market leading role.
Your new company
My client is a local, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy specialising in design, sustainability, engineering and project management. They are focused on innovation and being seen as market leaders in their fields with a team of talented and collaborative specialists leading the way.
Your new role
This full time role will see you taking a senior role in their highly respected risk management team primarily involved in;
- Assessment verification across areas of design and safety
- Using your proficiency in detail to prepare assessment documentation with analytical precision
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets and schedules
- Ensuring good client relationships and communication are maintained
- Using your expert knowledge and presentation skills to facilitate workshops including SIL, LOPA and HAZOP
What you'll need to succeed
- As this is a senior role, your will be a Degree qualified Electrical Engineer with 10 or more years experience in the industry
- Working experience with technical audits, hazard and risk identification, technical investigations and mitigation techniques.
- You will have a thorough knowledge of high voltage to milli voltage systems and design of PLC's
- A background in industry and machinery will be highly regarded
- A very high attention to detail
- You will possess advanced communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem solving ability as well as demonstrated experience and credentials in functional safety or a passion to move your career in this direction
