Position summary
We are currently seeking a high-energy, self-motivated and dedicated engineer to lead process design and technical proposal development.
The selected candidate will have experience in the field of water and wastewater treatment, with independent decision-making skills to prepare and submit optimized designs for projects.
Specific responsibilities:
- Develop process designs for new projects and provides support to sales team in Australia, New Zealand and Asia-Pacific Regions.
- Inputs & calculations related to equipment/pump sizing, mass balance, PFD, and P&ID preparation.
- Prepare equipment selection and costing for project-specific proposals as well as standard product development and costing database development.
- Work with Lead Process Engineer and Executive Technical Director to ensure the design optimization, determine required level of treatment and confirm performance guarantees for selected equipment.
- Provide advice / recommendations on various treatability / optimized design options for new projects.
- Interacting with projects division, sales team and external customers in technical meetings.
- Optimize/refine designs based on feedback to meet customer requirements and cost targets.
- Development and maintenance of engineering tools and workflows for standard product development.
- Drive product quality and reliability issues to root cause and corrective action using a disciplined, data-driven approach.
Required skills & experience:
- Degree in Chemical, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering
- 3 – 7 years’ experience in water / wastewater treatment
- Demonstrated understanding of water and wastewater treatment equipment and processes including conventional pre-treatment, advanced oxidation and membrane processes - UF/RO
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations within limited timeframes
