Immediate long term project scheduling role in Melbourne's East
Your new company
A large state government department dedicated to the delivery of ongoing environmental initiatives across Melbourne are seeking an experienced Project Scheduling officer for a role commencing asap.
Your new role
Working to support the manager and wider business, the Project Scheduling officer will ensure that contract administration, tendering and procurement are carried out in accordance with the department’s standard policies and procedures in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner. You will assist and support the development, delivery, management, monitoring and compliance of large scale contracts in various progress (option) stages.
The majority of the work will be centred on tender specifications and ongoing documentation management, tender evaluation, variation and cost management. You will be liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders as well as contractors and be the ‘go to’ person relating to contract delivery enquiries and complaints.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will ideally come from an environmental background, with demonstrated technical skills in project scheduling across tendering, variation and contracts administration works. Experience managing construction/maintenance contracts within a Victorian local council will be ideal.
You will have exceptional interpersonal skills, in particular your ability to communicate with multiple departments, users and environmental experts. You will ideally have solid Microsoft application experience and excellent time management
