The Role
The Project Manager joins a highly skilled and multidiscipline team that collectively deliver civil infrastructure projects within the City Design and Transport department. The department plays a key role in shaping the city into liveable neighbourhoods.
Working under the direction of the Team Leader Design and Delivery, the position is required to exercise innovative decision making practices to achieve the delivery outcomes of various road and / or infrastructure projects that meet Council’s policies, procedures and customer service charter.
About you
Ideally you will have experience in civil design and construction, with comprehensive knowledge of general project management and construction techniques, proven ability to manage contractors, strong understanding of detailed design documentation, highly effective interpersonal skills, capacity to handle a busy workload, strong communication skills, well developed computer skills and the ability to work positively in a team environment. Experience with capital works delivery in the local government context would be advantageous.
