This is “the next big thing” in the automotive industry incorporating sensors, lasers, optics, radar, and more, and this role is critical to driving the performance of the development team through a period of innovation and growth.
The role:
Leading an Electronics Development Team, a team of highly educated and high performing engineers, you will manage them through all aspects of electronics development, from concept to manufacture, in the highly regulated automotive environment.
The team is responsible for electronic architecture, documentation, planning, and testing, and as Team Leader the role will contribute to production, and improve performance through contractor management, expertise insourcing, supplier on-boarding, hiring, automation, quality, and process improvement.

Skills and experience:
- Degree qualifications in Electrical or Electronics
- Further qualifications to Masters or PhD very well regarded
- Previous Australian Based team management and/or leadership is ESSENTIAL
- Prior product development experience in a highly regulated industry (Automotive product well regarded but not essential).
- Electronics architecture development and implementation experience.
- Working knowledge and skills in eCAD, architecture development, uC, FPGA, and ARM
- Initiative, drive, collaboration, and excellent communication skills.
In addition, you will require flexibility and the ability to think outside the box, able to come up with innovative solutions to unusual problems.
