Our client is Civil and Structural Consulting Engineers based in Lane Cove, who have built an enviable reputation on specialist engineering services to the Australian construction industry since 1995 and are currently seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join their professional team.
This is a full time, permanent position and is available for an immediate start (will wait for notice periods as required).
Position Overview:-
Seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer ideally with 3 year’s post grad experience to be responsible for undertaking structural engineering design commensurate with the level of an experienced graduate engineer.
Your main responsibilities and duties will include:-
- Undertaking structural analysis and modelling
- Undertaking site inspections and reporting
- Development of conceptual sketches and provision of direction to drafting staff.
- Where appropriate the provision of mentoring to other staff within the office
- Providing cost estimates and fee proposals to clients
- Presenting the employer and its staff in a positive light to current and prospective clients, contractors and fellow professionals
- Undertaking promotional activities to secure future works for the employer
Your experience, skill set and qualifications will include:-
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good computing skills (MS Office Intermediate)
- Dependable and reliable
- Degree in Engineering
- 3+ years in a similar position
- Full Australian Driving Licence (for manual vehicles)
- Construction industry “white card”
- Degree certification
- Engineers Australia membership
