The Company
Service Stream is an ASX listed company who specialise in the end-to-end delivery of the high volume services required to roll-out, maintain and operate essential networks throughout Australia. Our telecommunications projects range from 'build only' to full turnkey contracts, including site acquisition, radio frequency, planning, environmental approvals, community relations, design, design management, civil and electrical works, integration and commissioning, antenna and microwave procurement and installation, warehousing and logistics and site lifecycle works.
The Role
Our Mobile Communications team have a vacancy for a Senior Structural Engineer to join the team in our Melbourne CBD head office and provide expertise in the field of wireless telecommunications structures. Working as a key team member within our National Design Team, this role would be responsible for providing professional engineering services to support design and project delivery, and for certifying completed designs. Working on full turnkey 4G projects on behalf of our outstanding client base, this position would be responsible for:
Establishing and leading work practices to delivery repeatable and consistent design approaches
Ensuring compliance with relevant National and State legislation, codes and standards across designs
Providing technical expertise and guidance to a team of structural engineers and CAD drafters
Building successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the client
Ensure Quality Assurance procedures are completed in accordance with company, client and legislative standards
Certifying completed designs on behalf of the National Design Team
Required Skills and Experience
To be successful in this position, you will have substantial Structural Engineering experience within the Telecommunications industry, along with a Civil or Structural Engineering degree and CPEng. You will have impeccable attention to detail, advanced problem solving and decision making skills and a flexible approach within an adaptable working environment. You will have strong communication skills with proven coaching and mentoring abilities.
