The Company

Our client is a global resource manufacturer with a number of facilities based throughout Australia. The business has a rich history in manufacturing and continues to invest heavily in plant upgrades and capital projects to remain competitive in this global market. Due to an internal movement a need has arisen for an high performing Environment Engineer to join the business based in their facility in the Sydney area.

The Role

• Develop and implement environmental standards and expectations 
• Assist the Environmental Superintendent to develop and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and clearly understand regulatory environment in terms of managing licenses, consents, agreements and other legislated requirements.
• Responsible for any challenges that come with the role while providing environmental and systems input and coordinating initiatives.
• Ensure that the systems introduced are maintained and improved to achieve environmental compliance standards
• Engage management teams, drive awareness, culture change to improve use of resources such as environmental impacts and associated costs are minimised.

Your Background

To be successful in this role, you will be tertiary degree qualified in environmental or chemical engineering, you will have strong technical expertise in the management and implementation of ISO 14001 EMS Standard and have  14001 Auditor training and experience. You will ideally have environmental management experience and come with the ability to lead and implement environmental management efforts.
