MEGT are an organisation who specialise in making Apprenticeships happen! Our client are a family owned company who has work with BORAL Sydney on major projects all around Sydney Metro. A position has become available in their fabrication team for a 1st or 2nd Year sheet metal apprentice
The Role
This role will see you gaining skills across a variety of areas including welding, boilermaking and fabrication. You will be involved in a number of projects in the workshop and on various sites. As an apprentice, you will spend a minimum 1-2 months in the workshop learning until going out on site. The majority of the work will be preventative maintenance of concrete plants and structural steel work in the workshop. Transport to and from Boral sites will be provided and you must adhere to work, health and safety protocols.
What you'll need
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking apprentice who is ready to start their apprenticeship . Requirements include;
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Good welding skills, favourable but not essential
- Experience using band saw, drop saw and/ or cold saw would be ideal
- Strong work ethic
- Safety Conscious
- Able to work in a team environment

Work Monday to Friday with some Saturday, overtime is available if you are keen to make extra $$ . Work with a highly experienced team with a company who have a low staff turnover and won national awards
