Based in Thomastown, they are now seeking the services of a motivated and energetic Technical Suppoert Coordinator, to join their team.
The Role
In order to meet the set targets and new market segments a support technical officer is required. This to take over the day-to-day technical queries and document support from the Electrical Engineer so they can spent more time on designing and custom tailoring customer needs. You will undertake a 'hands on' role, where you will be afforded the oportunity to be mentored and developed from working with a leading and inovative engineer within the .
Key responsibilities
- Analysing and providing a solution for technical queries coming from CS in conjunction with the Electrical Engineer
- Train the CS on how to analyse and provide a solution to technical queries
- Liaise with suppliers (external) and the procurement department in order to find and support the needed solution
- Providing technical and administrative support to the Electrical Engineer or Technical Manager during bigger projects or tenders.
- Document control, in relation to Bill of Materials, Instruction Manuals, creating references and codes in our ERP System.
- Customizing standard Instruction Manuals (true Illustrator), (modifying, not creating)
- Managing QA's (RGA), processing and liaising with European sites and our sales team
- Updating staff (releases) on new or revised products
- Providing back-up in case of absence of one of the customer service officers
Key requirements
- Electrical knowledge, Engineer (Bachelor)
- Able to work independently as in group
- An eye for detail, being pro-active and consistency are Key
- Having the will to (self-)learn
- Feeling for document control
- Capacity to work in group and capacity to teach
- Solution thinking – not product thinking (thinking outside the box, looking for alternatives)
- Illustration skills, or willing to learn (Adobe Illustrator)
- Keen to teach and share his/her knowledge
