Cristal Mining is currently seeking a Draftsperson for a permanent position, based at our mining operations near Pooncarie in New South Wales, to support our national operations with mechanical, electrical and process drafting.
About the role
As a Draftsperson you will be responsible for:
- Electronically drafting drawings, schedules and data sheets to established drafting standards
- Managing the documentation standard for all work contracted through external agencies and consultant engineers
- Developing designs to concepts, designing parameters and boundaries as set by professional engineers
- Developing and managing drawing standards and drawing databases as the business improves.
About You
You will ideally possess:
- The highest regard for safety and an excellent safety employment record
- Experience with software based design/drafting systems: AutoCAD or similar
- Experience providing system support to maintain, develop and document design office software systems
- A formal drafting qualification (e.g. Certificate in Engineering)
- Experience working in the heavy industry or similar environment where you will have developed an understanding of P&IDs, electrical/ instrument / mechanical equipment design and documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders
- Strong planning, organisation and follow-through skills
