What is the role?

Based in Sydney, we are now actively recruiting a Project Manager. Reporting to the Application Centre Manager Electrical Distribution the Project Manager will be responsible for managing small project teams using both internal and external resources to deliver One Schneider solutions to clients.  Close involvement with Schneider Electric factories located globally is required.   The projects will be required to deliver small to large electrical distribution packages (including but not limited to MV, LV, Power Solutions and Solar) with high levels of system integration and can be on construction sites or within existing facilities. Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering large high profile projects with successful outcomes for both the client and company
• Managing the delivery of design & construct projects for builders and electrical contractors
• Working with project delivery processes based upon the PMBOK
• Managing and coordinating offshore manufacturing facilities and subcontractors
• Ability to build a team quickly and work with that team to drive the project to completion
• Must have an excellent financial acumen with strong abilities in reporting and forecasting
• Identify and secure variations that improve gross margin whilst maintaining customer satisfaction
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work with difficult customers.

• Trade based qualification in electrical trade, university degree in engineering or significant relevant experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent OR must achieve certification within 12 month
• Background in managing projects in a relevant industry such as engineering or construction, delivering to external customers via commercial arrangements
• Experience with design and construct projects which supply solutions that integrate existing technology to meet customer requirements, taking into account relevant standards and specifications
• Experience identifying and negotiating claims and contract variations
• Demonstrated experience in preparing and facilitating meetings, workshops, training, and problem resolution activities
• Demonstrated experience in successfully driving and delivering projects (on time, on budget, to quality with high stakeholder satisfaction)
• Proven ability to work in a matrix environment, setting priorities and provide direction
• Ability to effectively orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal, whilst anticipating and adjusting for problems and roadblocks
• Ability to develop and maintain a project schedule utilizing Microsoft Project or similar
