Our client provides tailored temporary solutions for shoring, propping, traffic, water and wastewater management civil infrastructure projects.

We have a new opportunity for a Structural Installation Manager with previous project/site management experience to manage the installation of heavy steel beams and prop advanced precast concrete panels. It is a permanent job with good salary package, and other perks and benefits

Working across a number of high profile projects including CBD basement carparks, pumping stations, water storage tanks, bridge support, rail infrastructure, tank farms, crane back propping/support, tunnelling & mining applications for tier 1 & 2 contractors; you will be responsible for program and project managing installations for specialised structural support products on customer sites across Melbourne.

Reporting to the Site Services Manager your key responsibilities will include:

Manage the end to end installation of proprietary temporary works products (heavy steel beams and props advanced precast concrete panels)
Develop and supervise the preparation of install methodology, sequencing and quality assurance to ensure compliance with design documentation.
Act as the key focal point for clients keeping them informed of progress, anticipated delays and/or variances.
Management and supervision of all sub-contractors during the installation process.
Foster a working relationship with operations and sales to ensure timely and accurate delivery of customer expectations.
Providing site specific input to the Engineering and Technical team to enable optimal design and installation methodology.
Work with the sales and Engineering and Technical team in managing the quotation process for the installation of specialised equipment.

Required skills:

Strong commitment to safety and quality and a good understanding of developing ‘SWMS’ for every project.
Strong communication and leadership skills
Civil structural OR Mechanical Engineering qualification is preferred however strong steel / structural industry experience working across VIC will also be considered.
Strong technical knowledge and experience in the installation of structural systems and building services across multidiscipline products and services.
Demonstrated experience in ‘hands on’ program and project management for projects on multiple sites.
Solid analytical & problem-solving skills supported by excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Ideally you will have a background in installation of proprietary support systems or fabricated structural steel projects.
