The role

As a result of continued growth, we are currently seeking a Strategic Transport Modeller to join SMEC on a permanent basis, supporting our Southern Region. This role could be based in Melbourne or another capital city. It will involve working on a number of Transport Modelling projects within VIC and Nationally. 

Some of your core responsibilities include:

  • Undertake strategic modelling
  • Ensure that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC
  • Proactively collaborate with appropriate team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and coordination of project deliverables

With a minimum of 5 years experience in traffic modelling (ideally more), you will have a track record of achievement in a similar role. Your experience will have been gained in an engineering design consultancy and you will have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and deliver outcomes.

Suitable applicants will have/be:

  • Prior experience working with Cube Voyager, EMME, Visum or a similar software package
  • Experience in mesoscopic modelling would be a bonus
  • Tertiary qualified in Engineering.
