ABOUT THE COMPANY.
A Sydney based Local Council has recently opened up an opportunity within their Asset & Infrastructure division due to an increase in projects. This team places a strong focus on the completion of planning, infrastructure, and environmental projects valued up to $10m.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As an Asset Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful up-keep of the Councils assets and infrastructure to the required standards. Reporting to the Civil Design Manager, you will work alongside 6 other respected Engineers who are known for their strong negotiation, communication, and team collaboration skills.
DUTIES.
- Capitalisation of infrastructure projects
- Implement and maintain asset management systems
- Prepare asset and infrastructure comments for reports
- Develop a schedule for inspection and condition assessments
- Provide technical and professional advice internally & externally
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Asset Management (or related) is advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience within the public sector is beneficial
- Excellent attention to detail
