The Flood Engineer undertakes and manages projects relating to the flood modelling of waterways, including flood mapping and flood data analysis and the preparation of related reports and documents. 

Core Deliverables

• Preparation of emergency flood management tools including operating procedures and documents.
• Impact analysis and reporting of waterway infrastructure.
• Project reporting and liaison with customers and project partners.

About you

• An Expert in the use of flood modelling software (including hydrology and hydraulic) and its application to surface water modelling of creeks, rivers and overland flow
• Ability to lead, mentor and develop less experienced staff in flood modelling techniques and supervise their activities as well as being able to work independently 
• Flood data analysis and management 

Desirable

• Expertise in the use of flood modelling software (including hydrology and hydraulic) and its application to enclosed drainage systems
• Experience with flood emergency management systems and procedures
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines

Required:

• Degree in Engineering relevant to the position
• RPEQ Registered 
• Construction industry white card
