Silvan Australia, Australia’s leading manufacturer and distributor of agricultural spraying machinery and rural lifestyle products, is seeking a Technical Assistant to lead the development of their Selecta range of products. Over the past 4 years, the Selecta range has developed from spraying related accessories to cover products diverse as security systems and animal enclosures. The opportunities to develop the range are endless.
The role entails:
- Evaluation and testing of new products
- Coordinating feedback on new products from Sales and Product Managers
- Identifying new product opportunities,
- Preparation of technical specifications, data sheets, instruction manuals and product compliance requirements
- Assisting with staff and client product training
- Liaising and problem solving with new and existing Suppliers, regarding product quality and service issues.
The role is suitable for those experienced in product sourcing or alternatively a recent graduate with a technical qualification.
The successful applicant will joining the New Product Development team and be based in the new company headquarters in Keysborough
The applicant should have an interest in mechanical and electrical products. A familiarity with agricultural merchandise products and/or a rural background would be advantageous.
