Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Kenworth is seeking a proven and results-oriented Industrial Engineering Manager to lead the Industrial Engineering team, and to oversee the capital budgeting process for PACCAR Australia. This position is expected to drive world class performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
This role is required to provide support to multiple departments, therefore it is imperative that the successful candidate has excellent communication skills, with capacity to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, while driving and setting the example of our operating discipline.
To be successful in this role you will have a management background in production, assembly, or manufacturing operations with demonstrated experience, with proven capacity to hire and develop talent. The successful candidate is experienced in project management and is continuously seeking process improvement opportunities through the application of lean production, six sigma and 7 step problem solving techniques. A solid understanding of the automotive or heavy truck and equipment industry is desirable. And you will have excellent written & verbal communication skills, and the ability to influence others to meet objectives. The successful candidate will be suitably qualified in engineering.
