The ability to successfully employ a capability relies on the investment of getting the requirements and operational concepts correct in the early phases of the capability life-cycle. Poorly defined requirements and concepts can result in expensive delays or program failure. The Future Systems program provides support to Government and Industry to develop the concepts, perform feasibility analysis, and assist with planning and conducting acceptance into service activities for real or synthetic complex systems. The Future Systems program will assist you develop the required portfolio of documents to successfully navigate Project approval.

Future Systems also specialises in establishing Business Support Centres of Expertise for scheduling, cost estimation and the development of project and engineering management systems. Future Systems also manages the delivery of Nova’s wide range of training offerings from training (performance) needs analysis, course development to delivery of Nova’s specialist courses.

About the opportunities:

We have immediate opportunities for Defence Acquisition and Capability Project Management and Engineering Specialists to support our Canberra clients transition their projects from the "concept to government approval phases". Ideally, you'll have had experience in either Defence Capability Development or Acquisition.

These roles are permanent, supporting our "Future Systems" Defence Program. Ideally, you will have Defence experience and applications are sought from ex Defence members (ARA, RAN, RAAF).

If you have Defence Acquisition and Capability experience in one or more of the following Defence disciplines, we would definitely like to speak with you:

• Capability Definition Document Development;
• Operational Concept Document Development;
• Model Based Systems Engineering;
• Contestability project reviews;
• Operational and Systems Safety;
• Capability Acquisition and Delivery;
• Project Development and Delivery;
• Specialist Engineering;
• C4I.

About you:

• Ex ADF, CASG employees highly regarded;
• Australian Citizen with AGSVA clearance essential (preferable NV1 min);
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Ideally you will be Canberra based.
