We are currently seeking applications from highly experienced Senior Project Engineers to support our Asset Services division. Due to new contract wins these positions will be permanent roles with UGL.
As a Senior Project Engineer, you'll be responsible for coordinating on-site engineering functions for allocated projects, which means that you own it! You'll look after scheduling, costs, quality documentation, and execution - it's your project, you own it! And you'll get opportunities to stand in for the project manager at times.
The successful applicant will have a solid background within structural integrity projects coupled with extensive experience in providing technical support, ideally within the Iron Ore maintenance sector.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Provide project and technical coordination for assigned area of the project
- Monitor quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material
- Coordinate the activities, program workloads and provide technical guidance to engineering staff
- Accurate forecasts of costs and revenue, and cost management
- Establish and develop a high performance team to ensure the project achieves targets
You will also need the following qualifications & experience;
- Extensive experience in structural work
- Stakeholder management experience with Contractor background
- Experience in Major Iron Ore SMP projects
- Knowledge of current construction practices, standards, systems and processes
- Proven project coordination and management skills
- Qualification in mechanical engineering or similar discipline
- Strong leadership and communication skills
