Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity now exists for a highly organised and resolute Program Officer working on the F35 Joint Strike Fighter program.

The Program Officer is responsible for the day to day management of project activities and serves as the primary point of contact for the customer.

This position will see you working collectively in a small, supportive and collaborative team that are focused on program delivery and advice. You will have analytical capabilities to allow you to draw information from a diverse range of sources, and analyse that information for accuracy and compliance.

Alongside this, you will have strong communication skills which will not only allow you to work within your team, but also to liaise with internal, external and the portfolio stakeholders alike.

Additionally, you will have the ability to work with a dynamic team, and within in a fast paced environment to allow you to deliver high quality material within tight deadlines.

Your high level of interpersonal, communication, problem solving, administrative and organisational skills will be an asset to you in this role.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Program office and internal and external customers
  • Supporting and assisting the Program Manager and the Program office team
  • Preparing presentations, reports and correspondence for internal and external customers
  • Meet negotiated deadlines and prioritise workloads to ensure all of the Program team members needs are satisfied
  • Produce accurate, timely and well-presented documents that conform with customer and company requirements
  • Coordinate events for project management and tollgate reviews
  • Ensure compliance of the Company Quality Requirements, AS9100 and ISO 9001 accreditation
  • Co-ordination of logistics activities in preparation for shipment
  • Facilitate secure document/data transfer between internal and external customer 

Skills and experience

We are looking for candidates who possess the following attributes and skills:

  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Strong customer service focus, with deep understanding of internal and external customer needs, requirements and expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering and quality documents
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in the Microsoft office suite
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Detailed knowledge of current and emerging manufacturing methods, systems and processes
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to achieve team/business objectives
  • A demonstrated track record of introducing innovative new processes and methods, such as Risk Management and Change Management improvements
  • Previous experience in a Program support role will be highly regarded (Aerospace, Defence and/or automotive industry experience ideal however all industries will be considered)
  • A preference to work as part of a team as well as an ability to form relationships with a vast range of stakeholders
  • Previous experience with Lean Continuous Improvement, configuration control or the Engineering, Pharmaceutical or Aviation industry will be highly regarded.
