Senior Structural Engineer
Location: Central - Gold Coast, Queensland
Our client a national multidisciplinary engineering, technical and drafting services provider with offices located in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Darwin and Perth.
The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for planning managing and successfully delivering engineering projects of a complex nature in order to meet client requirements, and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction and profitability. You will also be responsible for project outcomes through the monitoring of quality, costs and schedule to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded on a consistent basis. Project issues are identified and resolved before they become a problem for the Client. Carry out and manage the detailed design on a regular basis for all types of projects and all aspects of the project. Concept designs are developed in accordance with company value proposition around innovation and value engineering.
Senior Structural Engineer Technical skills and Experiences
Typically a minimum of 7- 8 years of good design experience
Strong design skills/experience in: Large concrete frame buildings/tall buildings, Steel structures - industrial/commercial/retail.
Ability to think and solve problems. Look for innovative/out of the box solutions and designs.
Good understanding of geotechnical and basement walls/retention.
Good understanding of seismic/wind loads on buildings.
Critically assess and review designs by others
Knowledge of construction methods and their impact on design
Proven Experience in writing tenders and proposals
Qualification & Experiences
Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
CPEng and RPEQ qualified (or working to attain this)
Member of IE Australia
Typically a minimum of 7-8 years of demonstrated design experience
