MSP Engineering is fortunate to be involved with a commodity at the forefront of a technology revolution. MSP Engineering projects will be remembered historically as a turning point in Lithium production in Australia and we seek applications from people who are inspired by this opportunity in working as a Senior Site Planner on a part-time basis.

This position has primary responsibility for managing and administering the updating of the integrated project schedule, ensuring alignment with agreed contractor plans, including the sequencing, analysis, recording, controlling, forecasting and reporting all site planning and scheduling matters.

Your role will, but not limited to the following:

  • Maintaining and updating the integrated project schedule.
  • Taking ownership of the site planning function and ensure integrity of the data being processed.
  • Analysing construction data and determining required materials, tools, equipment, human resource, etc to achieve schedule milestones and key dates.
  • Interfacing with the Construction Manager, Area Managers, contractors and site supervisors to determine status of project.
  • Expediting the work in areas that delay the schedule and revises schedule to capture work around any new forecast dates.
  • Monthly planning reports and other ad-hoc reports as required, such as dashboard updates.
  • Maintaining a high level of communication with other planning and project control staff.
  • Reviewing and quality check of contractor schedules and performance against baseline information.

What we are looking for:

  • A recognised Project Management, Construction or Engineering degree or equivalent qualification coupled with 10-year’s relevant industry experience.
  • Highly proficient computing skills, specifically with Primavera P6.
  • Well-developed knowledge in planning principles in relation to sequencing, forecasting, change management and project planning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills both internally and externally.
  • A self-starter whom thrives on taking ownership of their role whom has the ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Excellent management skills including the ability to plan, set goals; and manage time, priorities, resources, accountabilities, schedules and cost.
  • Experience in negotiating successful outcomes that achieve the required objectives and have the support and acceptance of all parties.
