About the business and the role

Lotus Engineering is a multi-disciplinary service provider to the construction, maintenance, oil and gas, mining and mineral processing sectors. We are currently seeking an Estimator with knowledgeable experience with Structural Mechanical Piping. The successful applicant will be responsible for contributing to all operational requirements through the preparation of timely and accurate estimates in line with our business procedures. 

Skills and experience

To be considered for the role you will have;

• Excellent knowledge of Structural Mechanical Piping with a minimum of 5 years' experience in estimating
• Excellent knowledge of Piping Fabrication 
• Strong ability to enerate scope of works statement in line with the business' policies and procedures to clearly define what works are included/excluded from estimation.
• Ensures a disciplined approach is taken in regards to pricing and margin control.
• Maintains up-to-date information in regards to changes in access, site requirements, client specifications and Australian standards.
• Actively participates in all project phases from estimation to operations and completion
• Preferably a relevant degree in Engineering or similar from an accredited institute.
• A thorough sound understanding and knowledge of manufacturing/fabrication principles and practices in multi-discipline mechanical-electrical engineering environment.
• A complete understanding with interpreting drawings and plans, and preferably hold a strong knowledge of Autocad
• Well organised, self-starter, with a team orientation and able to work to tight deadlines,
• Good reporting skills and strong attention to detail.
