About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Quality and Process Engineering, this position will act a key contributor to NPA’s operational leadership team providing expert knowledge across both quality compliance and process engineering. Taking lead on root cause analysis and reporting of complex and challenging problems, this position will require a broad and well established skill set in 6 sigma, lean and extensive experience in process control design and implementation. Further, this position will be responsible for the provision of leadership and development across the quality and engineering disciplines supporting a cross functional team of Quality Compliance and Process Engineers.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

  • Providing leadership to the Quality Compliance and Process Engineering team, which includes technical, strategic and developmental support and guidance
  • Contributing to the achievement of NPA’s key Compliance, Customer Satisfaction, Spoilage and Financial performance targets
  • Improving capability and efficiency of NPA’s Quality Systems, application and understanding of process control and practice of DMAIC throughout operational areas
  • Maintaining and improving NPA’s Change Management System
  • Providing a key point of contact for internal and external auditors
  • Collaborating and acting as a process improvement expert to our operational leadership team around RCA, process change and relevant trials
  • Liaising directly with key internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Developing and maintaining a visual management dashboard of key product attributes
  • Influencing and driving a culture of statistical analysis through the discipline of lean 6 sigma

About You;

An experienced manufacturing professional, with proven experience leading or working at a senior level delivering results through the application of lean 6 sigma methodology. You will be driven, have excellent communication skills which you have used to work directly with leadership teams within production to solve and improve complex processes.  You will have a passion for process improvement, as well as developing individuals into lean 6 sigma experts. Ideally you will have an appreciation and solid understanding for manufacturing within a highly compliant infrastructure and have had experience working to very specific customer specifications. 

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, or significant experience
  • Lean 6 sigma qualified, ideally black belt level
  • Sound knowledge and application of lean manufacturing principles, proven capabilities driving in 6 sigma projects
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a medium size team
  • High level of problem solving skills, and a true passion for manufacturing improvements
  • Experience with statistical analysis software such as Minitab or JMP
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent reporting writing skills
