Our Site Services team conducts field investigations, testing of foundation materials, laboratory testing of soil material and other exploratory work. With the use of our in-house materials testing laboratory together with our highly skilled team we are able to provide our clients with timely and accurate results.
The opportunity:
An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and energetic individual to join the Site Services department in our Balcatta office as an entry level Soil Technician. Reporting to the Site Services Section Manager, the duties within this role include:
- Assessing ground conditions;
- Compaction Control:
- Ground Slab certifications;
- Assist with preparation of soil classification reports;
- Compliance with Company OSH policies and procedures.
Who are we looking for?
Stand out applicants will have a 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to learn. In addition, the successful applicant will demonstrate:
- A valid C class Drivers Licence:
- Physical fitness to a level that will allow you to operate equipment such as penetrometers safely and competently;
- A client focus;
- Ability to work unsupervised;
- Ability to follow procedures accurately and efficiently;
- Self-motivation and proactivity;
- A basic knowledge about different soil types (advantageous).
