About the role
Due to a recent growth period, CBS is currently looking to recruit a number of Technicians from mechanical and electrical backgrounds or preferably with a mix of both.
The Service Technician is an integral part of the Service Team, responsible for carrying out workshop repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance, fault finding, ad-hoc breakdown services and installations at our customer's premises, predominantly within the metro and greater Sydney area but also in regional NSW and occassionaly elsewhere within Australia to support our Interstate Technicans when required.
The role is primarily hands on but will require the applicant to follow documented processes and submit accurate and detailed electronic or paper based service reports.
Key Responsibilities
You will be required to
- Master all the mechanical and electrical functions of the equipment that the company sells and services as well as each machines application within different industry segments,
- Maintain a highly professional presentation with our customers and our suppliers,
- Complete detailed records relating to Service Orders, listing parts used, labour hours and work performed.
- Ensure that you operate at all times in a way that priorities the safety of you, your colleagues and your customers.
About you
You must hold
- An unrestricted C class NSW Driving Licence.
- You should be able to demonstrate prior experience with PLC equipped machines, pneumatics and hydraulics.
- You should be competent with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office software. Microsoft Navision experience would be benefical.
Advantageous, but not crucial
- A valid NSW electrical contractors licence and Qualified Supervisor Certificate would be highly regarded.
- Food Processing Machinery experience will be highly regarded.
Applicants must currently be resident in Australia and must be either an Australian citizen or permanent resident with full working rights.
