Due to growth, expansion and development my leading heavy manufacturing client is currently looking for a Technical Writer for their site in Northern Sydney for a 12 month contract appointment. In this role you will assist in the development of operational procedures to improve safety, quality and delivery within the manufacturing area. The position will manage the procedures and ensure that they are compliant to all legislative and internal requirements. It would really suit someone who enjoys process improvement, creating and improving both new and existing documentation and influencing business change.

Providing a strong hourly rate that is negotiable on experience they are looking for someone to be leader in this area, with occasional travel involving benchmarking trips, training courses or workshops as part of the role.
In return we are looking for the below skills and experiences;
Previous experience as a technical Writer with a background in the manufacturing or mining sector, you will have the capacity to interpret data from a varying number of sources and collaborative with various departments to facilitate successful document control.
Required skills and qualifications;
- Prior experience providing engineering technical support to Manufacturing employees
- The desire and persistence to achieve even under trying circumstances.
- Pragmatic approach to procedural writing where departmental constraints are taken into account when managing meetings with key individuals
- Must have sound mathematical understanding
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to stand up and present to the ground, assist in training and understanding of new processes
