Immediate need for a ITS Expert looking at transport data collection
Your new company
This is an opportunity within one of the largest councils in the country. Working in a team of like minded professionals to deliver and implement a progressive transport network plan.
Your new role
In this role you will be required to analyse the local transport network performance and development of operational performance targets. You will develop a forward plan for transport data collection including
- Analysis of existing data collection
- Review of future data requirements for transport system analysis, traveller information systems, planning and modelling requirements
- Develop a plan for improving the quality of the data an droll-out of additional data capture
- Develop best practice reviews on latest transport technologies and implement applicable technologies for the City.
- Network Intelligence analysis of the City transport system and assess existing transport systems.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will be a qualified Transport Engineer with experience in the design and analysis of ITS, transport planning and modelling with strong communication. You will be able to work in a team and although there are no direct reports you will be able to mentor more junior team members to help them develop. There is potential for contact extension and ongoing work.
