About the Role:
Due to continued growth, MPC Group is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Estimators to work a 6 month month contract within a close-knit team. Reporting to the Estimating Manager you will be responsible for working collaboratively within internal and external stakeholders to develop tender estimates, schedules and tender documentation (Construction Methodologies, Project, Org Chart, Labour Histograms etc) for pricing of work and services.
About You:
We are looking for a motivated Estimator with the following skills, experience and characteristics to join our team:
- Detailed understanding of pipelines and civil construction;
- Estimating from first principles
- Strong computer skills with high level of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word knowledge;
- Experienced in Scheduling /Programming, (use of MS Project or P6 software highly desirable however not essential);
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills;
- Experienced in dealing and negotiating with Subcontractors and material procurement;
- Proficient in reviewing and understanding drawings and technical specifications; and
- Adept at identifying Risk and Opportunities relevant to the project.
