IPA are looking for an experienced Construction labourer with Bridge Gantry Crane operating experience for our client’s project.
This role will be a labour hire position with IPA for the duration of the project which is expected to be 4-6 weeks.
During that time the days are Monday - Saturday, 12 hour days, dayshift and nightshift. The successful candidate will be on Permanent Nightshift for the duration of the project.
The rates on offer and what the project is will be explained in more depth at the interview stages.
The role is a general labouring position as well as Crane work. Therefore applicants should be open to working within a general labouring capacity most of the time and then stepping up to the Crane work as needed.
The position will involve both working at heights and in confined spaces and will be quite manual. The role would suit someone who is mechanically minded.
Requirements:
- Previous construction labouring experience
- Crane Ticket - Bridge Gantry (CB) - with demonstrated experience
- White Card (Construction Card)
- Confined Spaces Ticket (Completed within the last 2 years)
- Working at Heights Ticket (Completed within the last 2 years)
- Ability to meet demands of manual handling within the position
The position will be working approximately 30kms from Rockhampton.
If you are not locally based, accommodation will be provided as well as flights to and from Rockhampton.
You will be required to provide your own basic PPE including above ankle steel cap boots, 100% cotton trousers and long sleeved hi vis taped shirt and hard hat. Job specific PPE will then be provided.
If you are successful in your application you will be required to complete a medical prior to start including drug and alcohol screening. As well as ongoing random drug and alcohol screening on site throughout the project.
