Pezzimenti Tunnelbore is an Australian family owned company that has been operating in Sydney for over 25 years.
During that time Pezzimenti have completed over 1200 microtunnels and bored in excess of 80,000m - mostly for sewer and stormwater services.
We have just moved into a new custom built factory and office in Emu Plains
The great majority of works are in the development belt of the Western Sydney area.
We have an immediate start for a full time drillers assistant. Being a specialist company, this position offers a unique opportunity for the right person.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Local person looking for a long term job
- Be reliable, hardworking and a trustworthy self starter
- Have a HR drivers license or HC
- 38 hr week with overtime and monthly RDO
- Hours of work 7 to 5pm and 7 to 1pm most Saturdays
- Have own transport to travel to site.
- Have or be able to obtain confined spaces ticket
- Be able to obtain a VOC for a truck mounted crane
- Pezzimenti is a drug and alcohol free workplace
Main Duties include:
- Operating HR trucks incl container, crane, vacuums and hook bins
- Operating winches and truck mounted cranes to lower the drilling equipment into the shaft
- Run out water hoses, vacuum hoses, hydraulic hoses etc
- Communication with the client representative
- Maintain the proper operation and daily maintenance of gear
Desirable Qualifications (but not necessary)
- Construction experience
- HC license
- Crane ticket
- Dogman qualifications
- Forklift and excavator experience
- Welding ability
- Sound mechanical skills
Pay and Conditions
- Engaged initially on a casual basis for a trial period of 3 to 6 months with a view to full time position
- Overtime is paid 1.5x$ after 8hrs and on Saturdays in accordance with the Award
- Daily travel allowance paid $20/day
- Work normally starts and finishes on site so need own car
