The role
We’re looking for a dedicated Contract Administrator with strong contract, negotiation, risk and reporting experience in small to medium scale projects.
This is your opportunity to become part of an integrated team of commercial professionals and work on large, city-shaping projects within the Eastern Region.
About you
Ideally with a degree in Commerce, Law, Engineering or Architecture, you will have experience administering contracts for the architectural, construction or engineering industry and the ability to facilitate and coordinate the completion of a large scale projects from design to completion stage.
Skills and experience
_Degree qualified
_Commercial acumen
_Strong communication, consultancy, inter-personal and stakeholder management skills
_Ability to manage contracts, negotiate scope changes, and report on commercial and financial position
_Ability to manage risks, variations, resourcing and finances for the project
_Monitor project progress against timeline and facilitate the smooth running of the program
_Previous experience and understanding of the design and/or construction industry
Key tasks and capabilities
Contracts and fees:
_Lead the negotiating process of subconsultant contracts and scopes within HASSELL with continual monitoring of contractual obligations
_Assist in managing and updating project work plans
_Prepare and submit project reports to client and key stakeholders
_Prepare, submit and monitor forecasts – fees, cash flow and invoicing
_Debtors - monitor, pursue and report
Risk Mitigation:
_Lead the risk identification, reporting and mitigation process
_Prepare and coordinate variation submissions – scope, program, deliverables and fees
_Monitoring contractual obligations; ensuring records of actions are taken
_Ensure responses are made as required under contractual conditions to safeguard our position.
Program:
_Review and interrogate project programs through all stages of the project
_Advise on consequences and propose programs that work with the design teams to be the most effective and commercially efficient in the way we work
_Negotiate change to programs as necessary
You will be reporting to the National Commercial Manager and supported by the Regional Commercial Manager.

These roles are on contract basis for a 12 month period and will be working within a site office in Melbourne.
