Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for the scheduling and delivery of commercial electrical contract/projects across Australia and locally. You will ensure that work is carried out in accordance with OH&S requirements, specifications and schedules Effective cost control and efficient forward planning of projects is vital to the success of the business. This role could be based in our Geelong or Melbourne office.

This role requires an electrical technical understanding (Preferably Electrician) with strong project administration skills and experience. You’ll need great written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

This contract administration role will see you providing technical and administrative project support to managers. You’ll be interpreting and updating documentation, and assisting in the preparation of progress claims and project reporting across a portfolio of complex commercial electrical projects.

Duties will include:

  • Negotiating terms, conditions and pricing, and ensuring they are accurately executed and satisfied.
  • Maintaining of contracts information & liaising with clients, accounts payable & receivable, sub-contractors, technicians & management.
  • Assisting the Operations Team
  • Raising jobs/issuing Purchase Orders and Work Orders
  • Complete tender documentation for potential new contracts
  • Assist in preparation & collation of OH&S documentation on various contracts
  • Managing Subcontractor reports, filling & issuing information to clients & internal staff
  • Compiling Operation and Maintenance Manuals consisting of OH&S, Site Safety Plans, and Q&A Plans and project folders.
  • Analysing potential risks that contract changes may pose to the organization

What you'll need to succeed

  • Have experience as a Contract Administrator with the electrical industry
  • Possess a qualification in an electrical field
  • Possess a proven ability to successfully communicate and influence across all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel and Microsoft project
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships
  • Robust negotiation, time management skills and attention to detail
