Responsibilities of the Design Manager
Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible for:
- Client coordination and liaison
- Develop scopes for consultants based on the Project Brief and Contract Requirements.
- Design management and coordination
- Develop and manage the Design Program
- Implement and manage the Safety in Design process
- Work closely with the Estimating Team to provide more cost efficient solutions
- Work across multiple projects
Skills required for the Design Manager Role:
You must have previous experience as a Design Manager and have a track record of delivering New Build D&C Projects
Further skills required include:
- Relevant building and tertiary qualifications
- To have worked for a building contractor in a Design Manager role for a minimum of 7 years coupled with previous architect and design experience
- Experience of working on large building sites across Residential, Commercial, Health and others
- Significant experience on projects in excess of $20m
