The Role
Boral Concrete is currently seeking an experienced Plant Supervisor / Batcher to provide relief coverage at various plants. Note this position requires working at various Sydney Metro concrete plants as required. The main responsibilities include the batching, loading, materials control, maintenance, safety, and general daily operation of the plant. The successful applicant must be available to work Saturdays and out of hours as per business requirements.
Key duties:
- Accurate batching of orders to specified mix designs utilising the Command Batch program and the docket despatch system
- Undertake all essential day-to-day administration of the Concrete Batch Plant including stock control of raw materials
- Batching of the correct concrete mix and allocating trucks to ensure the smooth operation for Boral and our customers
- Be responsible for managing the day to day activities of a concrete batching plant including oversee concrete truck drivers
- General yard and plant housekeeping and maintenance, along with the safe operation of a front end loader
Must haves:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, reliable and the ability to show leadership
- A demonstrated commitment to safety and the environment along with a superior customer focus
- A front end loader ticket is preferred (but not essential)
- A proven ability to work within a team
- Computer skills
- Relevant batching and/or concrete industry experience (desirable)
- An attitude and commitment that will fit a highly motivated team environment
