We now have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Construction Manager in our successful and rapidly growing Power division. The primary purpose will be to lead, mentor, organise and oversee the construction of electrical projects.
Specific responsibilities include:
- The planning and execution of project construction delivery and installation
- Accountability for all site activities including OH&S
- Management of Subcontractors / Suppliers including variation approvals
- Providing the PM with support around delivery related progress and issues
- Providing support and guidance to the Field Delivery team
- Ensure the construction team comply with systems adopted on the project
- Site documentation, including but not limited to; forecasting, budgets, programs, compliance and quality
- Organisation of site inductions as and when necessary.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skills, education and experience:
- Previous experience as a Construction Manager on complex, large scale electrical distribution projects.
- Demonstrated experience building substations
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrable experience of building collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Self -motivated with a high level of attention to detail
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Commerce or Engineering desirable
