About Corplex Pty Ltd
We are an industrial and commercial construction company based in Port Melbourne. We have 60+ employees across a number of business sectors, from BDMs to Project Managers and Site Managers. We construct projects from inception (early design phase) through to post construction, so our team is equipped to work with clients from the beginning of their project cycle. We manage the process for our client fully, meaning those that work for us experience a project lifecycle in its entirety.
Our Graduate Program is a solid and structured initiative that allows our graduates to experience our business across all sectors, so that they have a well rounded and thorough insight into our project methodology.
There are 4 modules, each varying in length- Site Management, Client Management, OH&S and Project Management. Each Graduate develops their skill sets across these four modules over a 12 month period. They are initially sent to site, to work along side our site teams on various projects. Being based on site means they experience the full gamete of pressures and demands of a project construction site. They are up early with the site team, help the site manager directly with day-to-day activities and resource management amongst many other aspects of site management. Feedback from our current and past graduates has been that this module is extremely helpful to their overall learning and development.
In the Client Management module, the Graduate works with the Corplex Business Development team, pricing pipeline projects, dealing with potential new clients, assisting with estimating and packaging of tender documents etc. They learn how Corplex achieves its high client satisfaction reputation.
The OHS Module sees our Graduates working with the OHS Manager and the Coordinators back out on site, with one day in the office working on OHS administrative aspects, specifically concentrating on the OHSE aspects of project management. The team guides the Graduate with day-to-day activities that take place on site, from team and plant inductions to ensuring safety remains the utmost goal for everyone that works with and deals with Corplex. We also place all our Graduates through the Master Builders certificate III of OH&S, giving our graduates an added skill set they would not otherwise acquire. White Card is not necessary for employment as we can offer that as well.
Lastly, the Graduate is placed in the Project management module on a project team. They, along with a Project manager and Project Coordinator are both office and site based working on managing our projects. They generally work on 2-3 projects at a time, throwing them in the deep end so that they can learn swiftly. On the job training is fully provided by a number of experienced team members.
On the completion of the 12 month program, our graduates generally continue on as Project Coordinators, however they have the opportunity to work in a different department at the discretion of the executive team.
Criteria
We look for candidates studying in relevant bachelors or masters degrees- Construction management, Architecture, Project management, Civil Engineering.
